ENDORSEMENT REQUIREMENTS

•  Application form duly filled out

• Copy of the passport or Seaman Book, or Birth Certificate

• Copy of discharge book or letter of experience with at least 1 year of experience

• Medical fitness certificate

• Copy of the seaman book

• Copy of the certificate of competence

• Six passport size colored photos

REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICERS

Besides the general requirements, each officer will be required to submit the following:

• Last Panamanian Certificate obtained

• The Fire figthing Course (IMO 1.20)

• Personal Survival Techniques Course (IMO 1.19)

• First Aid Course (IMO 1.13)

• Personal Safety and Social Responsibility Course (IMO 1.21)

• Proficiency on Survival Craft and Rescue Boat Course (IMO 1.23) Reg. VI/2-1

• Radar Observation and Plotting Course(IMO 1.07) Reg. II/1-3

• Operational use of of Automatic Radar Plotting Aids Course (IMO 1.08) Reg. II/1-3

• GMDSS Course or License (IMO 1.15) Reg. IV/2

• Medical Care Course on board of ships (IMO 1.15) Reg. VI/4-2

• Advance Fire Figthing Course (IMO 2.03)

• Actualizations Course STCW 95 I/11 (Only if the seafarer hasn't navigated in the last 5 years 

REQUIREMENTS FOR RATINGS

Besides the requirements mentioned in general requirements, each rating will be required to submit the following:

• The Fire Figthing Course (IMO 1.20)

• Personal Survival Techniques Course (IMO 1.19)

• First Aid Course (IMO 1.13)

• Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (OMI 1.21)

• Rating forming part of the Engineering Watch Course (Reg. III/4) only if the application is to performing of Oiler or Motorman position.

• Rating forming part of the Navigation Watch Course (Reg. II/4) only if the application is to the Able Seaman (AB) or Bosin (Boatswain) 

The procedures for the issuance of such Endorsement are based on equivalence requiring evidence that the applicant is in possession of an appropriate recognized and valid certificate from a country that the IMO White List.
